Our vision on developing and supporting entrepreneurship - both within the educational programmes of the northern universities as well as extracurricular - is explained in the document 'Entrepreneurship at Hanze University', as Hanze University of Applied Sciences plays a lead role in the development of Knowledge Entrepreneurship Education and Support.
Every semester Value050 organizes workshops and lectures in the series 'Mastering Entrepreneurship College' and 'Startup Academy' for students and faculty on business concepting, social media, business administration, (crowd) funding, business model canvas, design thinking, marketing, sales and business development.
Students with a business idea that want to develop a business model or a business plan, can apply for coaching through the Center of Entrepreneurship. Via VNO-NCW experienced entrepreneurs and coaches are available for coaching in the proces of development of i.e. business plans, financial plans or market research.
For students that would like to have their entrepreneurial profile measured - in order to gain a better insight in their knowledge and competencies - Value050 offers several tests. Primarily we work with the E-scan of Martijn Driessen that as been developed at and validized by the University of Groningen.
For students that have an innovative and sustainable company Hanze University has developed the Top Entrepreneurship Scheme in order to effectively combine a study programme and the development of a company. The University of Groningen and Hanze University offer minors and specializations, that can be used by students in their 'free curriculum space' to prepare themselves for entrepreneurship in their own company. In the entrepreneurship community instruments you can find instruments for student starters like the business model canvas, an on-line entrepreneurship test, a library and active community of starting and experienced entrepreneurs. Take a look, create your profile and business canvas and start your business.
Incubator Cube050 offers workspace to student and alumni startups in a professional and well equiped building with free parking space. The incubator has excellent facilities, a central reception and waiting area, meeting rooms, wifi, voip and free fresh bean coffee. And most important of all, you can work with and amongst other entrepreneurs.
All students of Hanze University Groningen and the entrepreneurs of Groningen University are monitored, starting their first year, by the monitoring, screening and scouting system Monitor050. The aim is to get a clear insight in the development process of students on their way to become an entrepreneurial professional or a professional entrepreneur and to offer effective and tailored support along the way.
For most entrepreneurial students, writing a graduation thesis based on their own enterprise, is an attractive and motivating option. To enable this, Value050 can advise on and provide support with the design of a graduation project in which both the required research level of the bachelor or master thesis and entrepreneurship development are effectively combined.
